The FRESH SHEET! Summer 2000

The Somewhat Delayed but Soon To Be Opened D A H L I A B A K E R Y!

As we mentioned in our last newsletter, our new little retail bakery was to open within a few weeks of the Dahlia Lounge's reopening at 4th and Virginia. Unfortunately it quickly became apparent that the space we planned for the bakery was way too small and was already being consumed by other needs of the restaurant.

Fortunately, a new space has become available just around the corner on the Virginia side of our building and we have signed the lease there. Our plans are being redrawn to locate the baking equipment in this new space, with the retail entrance still planned on the 4th Avenue side of the building. So please allow us a few more months - we are getting closer and expect that the bakery will open in November. Pies, breads, madeleines and specialty cakes are soon to come!
