Did you know that February 2nd is Groundhog Day? If Groundhog Phil pops up to see his shadow, we’ll have 6 more weeks of wet cold, so hold off on your springtime planting!


Valentines in the Dahlia BakerY

Be sure to pre-order your decadent Valentines sweets this year. We’ll have desserts for two, sugar heart cookies, fancy Valentine cupcakes and lots and lots of rich, gooey chocolate to carry home. Call 206.441.4540 for a menu or to order.


We’ve had a baby!! (or four!)

We are happy to announce the arrival of our beloved new Rub with Love spice rubs. It’s quadruplets! ~ an exotic mushroom rub made with porcinis and herbs de provence, an African Piri Piri rub, a chili-citrus-garlic rub with a nice bright flavor, and our very own smoked paprika! We’ve cold smoked our own paprika for years in the back of the Palace Kitchen. Finally, we are so pleased to announce our pride and joy, Crabcake Mix Rub with Love. This rub is a spice blend created to compliment your home made crabcakes, or even your tuna salad. Born on January 22nd at the San Francisco Fancy food show and weighing 3 ½ ounces each, we hope you’re as happy to bring them into your home as we’ve been.
