Question of the Season?
It’s been awhile since we hit the restaurants and asked our staff a thought-provoking question about food. Following is a sampling of some very interesting answers!
If you could invite anyone to dinner, who would it be and what would you serve?
David Letterman & Whiskey! - Amy Richardson, Catering Manager
My father. We’d make bbq pork ribs and stir up gin and tonics. Or, we’d just pick some up at Jones’ BBQ Susie Simpkins, server Dahlia Lounge
My best friend, Molly. We’d have tacos the real traditional soft tacos with margaritas! Lots of them with salt! Kristen Klaussen, Pastry Baker
Amy Goodman (of Democracy Now) and I’d make fried chicken and potatoes Margie Carrell, Dahlia Bakery (note to reader: Margie has never cooked fried chicken OR potatoes before!)
Brett Fabre (the Quarterback of the Green Bay Packers). I’d serve double bratwursts with mustard, caramelized onions and potato salad. Oh and some nice cold beer. Joel Lichosik, Cook Dahlia Lounge
Tom Waits, and I’d serve him bourbon tobacco mousse Garrett Melkonian, Pastry Chef
Katrina vanden Heuvel, Editor of The Nation and I would serve my grandfathers bbq chicken. Martha Francis, Pasta Maker Extraordinaire
Bob Marley was he a vegetarian? I’d make plantain chips with mango salsa and brownies the good kind. Katy Viswat Catering Sous Chef.
