A Krampus Feast! 

Matt is our Chef of Lola, with many years of chef experience under his belt. For December, Matt brings you a twisted take on the holidays with “Episode 13 of Drinking, Cursing, and Cooking: A Krampus Feast.” If you’re expecting the usual yuletide cheer, roast goose and plum pudding for this class, think again!

Krampus is a character from Austro-Bavarian folklore, thought to originate from pre-Christian times. The long-haired, shaggy, goat-like monster with a serpentine tail became linked with St. Nicholas in the middle ages. Unlike jolly St Nick, giver of gifts to good children, Krampus is the demonic punisher!

To celebrate the festive Yuletide ghoul known as Krampus, Matt has devised a devilish feast indeed (see the menu below.)

Now that you know what’s cooking, what about the drinking? As you watch Matt demo, you’ll enjoy a substantial taste of each dish, and each will be paired with a small pour of Matt’s choice of booze. (A no-host bar will be available as well.)
