Prosser Farm Tour
If you’ve ever been to one our restaurants in Seattle, you’ve likely seen a shout out to our very own Prosser Farm. Tom Douglas and his wife and business partner, Jackie, have owned and run a 20-acre farm along the Yakima River in Prosser, Washington (just a few hours east of Seattle) for the past decade. For seven months out of the year, the farm delivers an average of 1500 pounds of produce every week, which makes up an important part of the ingredients used in their Seattle restaurant kitchens. Everything from cherries and peppers, asparagus and onions, to fresh eggs and unique herbs, our chef team is always eager to hear what’s coming from Prosser to incorporate new, seasonal dishes.
Our friends and loyal customers have asked if they can tour the farm (since it’s not typically open to the public) and we’re excited to announce that now is your chance! Tom, Jackie and the farm team are hosting the first annual Prosser Farm Tour on Saturday, September 29th 1pm-3pm. Your ticket includes an extensive tour of the farm, a refreshing adult beverage (non-alcoholic options available) plus some snacks from our chef team. And of course, if you feel up for pulling some weeds, we’ll never turn down the help!
Tickets are $25 per person and all proceeds benefit Prosser’s Walter Clore Center, a central gathering place for industry and consumers to discover Washington wine and agriculture through engaging events and innovative programs.
