Tequila Tasting, Nachos and More!

FINE TEQUILA, FUN COCKTAILS, FANTASTIC FOODS

Tequila is distilled from the blue agave plant, primarily in the arid lowlands and rainy highlands outside of Guadalajara, and in the state of Jalisco. In this class, you’ll discover the pleasures of sophisticated, distinctive, truly delicious tequila. Hot Stove Society welcomes Dayri Garcia, Brand Ambassador for Herradura and El Jimador.

Dayri is here to educate you on the newest tequila, and he’ll talk about tequila trends. Before he was Brand Ambassador, Dayri was a Seattle bartender for 8 years. He loves teaching people what he knows about cocktails, so he’ll also demo a couple of classic tequila cocktails for you.

Dayri will go over the history of tequila and the different agave spirits being made in Mexico (Tequila, Mezcal, Sotol, and Raicilla). You’ll also have the chance to taste and compare some very special tequila.

Chef Eric Stover will demo an amazing menu for you, with flavors that pair perfectly with fine tequila. You’ll enjoy substantial tastes of food while you learn about and sip tequila and cocktails.

Herradura Silver- pale straw color- herbal flavor with light vanilla and wood
Herradura Reposado- amber color- smooth flavor with sweet notes of vanilla, butter, and dried fruit
Herradura Añejo- dark amber color- intense aroma of toasted oak and nuts, smooth flavor
