Roast Chicken

A Tom Douglas and Co.® Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Whole Chicken
- 3 tablespoons ‘Rub with Love’ Chicken Rub
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt, to taste
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 450°F degrees.
- Season the chicken inside and out with ‘Rub with Love’ Chicken Rub and a little salt and pepper.
- Take small tabs of butter and push it under the bird’s skin.
- Place the chicken breast-side up in a large roasting pan.
- Roast for 30 minutes, then baste bird with drippings from the pan.
- Check bird at another 20 minutes and baste again.
- Roast bird until internal temperature is 165°F.
- Rest bird for 5-10 minutes before serving.
